This excellent Blog is hosting a bootleg from Joy Division: here.
Along with a recording by the Order in 2005: here.
The photo of Ian Curtis caught my attention: so much so that I am putting it here on display.
I am sure it has all been said before, but doesn't he look possessed?
There seems something about him terribly frightening, it reminds me of the film The Exorcist.
Here he is in Holland. Just great.....
I've just discovered this version of Love will tear us part . Do you know it ? I find it quite good .

Mike
You can also find it in Flac here http://vivalesbootlegs.blogspot.com/2011/01/joy-division-im-not-afraid-anymore-1979.html true all the songs are available elsewhere. Don't know if the quality is better, the photo is good 'though. 31 years ago today that JD played the PARADISIO.
ReplyDeleteThe bootleg tracks were originally made available in the POIT blog: http://thepowerofindependenttrucking.blogspot.com/search/label/Joy%20Division
ReplyDeleteI have to agree that the album cover is a bit disturbing. I wonder if it is at all intentional.
