6. Procession
7. Chosen Time

9. Temptation
Link: here (44mb)
Thanks, any chance you can provide the FLAC files for this one?
ReplyDeleteHello, much as I would love to, there is one small problem - this is the only version I have. I am down to the last concerts from NO at their 1981 peak...and that means the ones in mp3 only. Maybe some hero will find they have a copy?!?
ReplyDeleteI have this concert in FLAC. It's out there somewhere. I was also at this concert, which is why I had to track it down!
ReplyDeleteP.S. The FLAC version has 10 tracks. The first track is a 43 second Intro track. Maybe that will help people track it down. 286 MB in size, overall. There is a text file with it named "NO-811106.txt". It says

Notes:
This is by far the best-quality 1981 New Order audience recording, bar for perhaps Walthamstow or Stockholm. Worth it to hear Bernard's singing on Denial. And for the early version of Temptation, which is cut after about 10 minutes due to the master C90 running out.
It sounds like the tape copy this was taken from was encoded with Dolby B NR, but I could be wrong about that. There's relatively little hiss. Nothing has been done to this by me, though I figure it's a good candidate for an eventual drewc sprucing-up.
This one had made a few way-stops through the NO trading community, but shows little in the way of wear for it.
Oh, if anybody ever turns up a copy of the Reseda gig the night before... or the Berkeley gig a few days after...as well as the City Gardens gig...please share!
DO NOT SELL OR LEVERAGE THIS RECORDING FOR PROFIT.
DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE IN LOSSY FORMAT.
DO ENJOY.
P.S. The text file that came with my FLAC version can be seen here:
ReplyDeletehttp://antares341.narod.ru/NewOrder/1981/1981-11-06_Pasadena.html
It's about 286 MB of FLAC files in all. I cannot find the original site where I got my copy, however.
Dead link. Does anyone know where this can still be found? Thank you!
